As of September 10, 2009, all current drivers of vehicles over 3.5t will be required to undertake 35 hours authorised training by September 2014.(in the next 5 years)
This is the new Driver CPC legislation and after completing 35 hours training, a card will be issued to the driver, without which the driver will not be legally allowed to do their job after September 2014.
This training can be split into 7 hour sessions, therefore only 1 days training is required every year to accrue the total 35 hours training before September 2014.

Great News!
The Transport Manager Ltd of Newbury has been authorised as an Approved Driver CPC Training Centre. No. AC00487.
As of September 2009 we will be offering a 7 hour training session “LGV Driver Essentials part1”.
We will be then designing more 7 hour training sessions based on feedback from delegates and their employers, which will satisfy the criteria set out by the legislation.
The difference with The Transport Manager is our authorisation allows the flexibility to train at your premises if required and on days (including the weekend) to suit the operation needs of its clients.
